About DesignXDM
DesignXDM was founded by Brendan, a University of Oxford graduate with over a decade of design experience at a Fortune 500 company, and John, a computer engineer with more than twenty years’ experience working with multinational companies.
They came together to address a growing creative crisis: designers are under increasing pressure to deliver more, faster.
While many creatives fear AI, DesignXDM was built on a different belief that AI, used correctly, can support human creativity rather than replace it. DesignXDM strengthens the ideation layer, turning prompts into clear concepts and compelling visual starting points, so designers spend less time searching and more time creating work that matters.
This approach was validated by a Custom GPT that grew from 5,000 to 50,000 users in one month. Since 2025, DesignXDM has been supported by Oxford University Innovation, NVIDIA Inception, Google for Startups and AWS startups.
